From 5 to 4
Governance structure of the diocese continues to be streamlined to allow for ministry rather than meetings about doing ministry.
- Diocesan council was reduced in size;
- Frequency of its, and the finance committee's, meetings was reduced;
- Role of regional dean was eliminated to avoid duplication of duties.met by archdeacons.
With the Selkirk region’s archdeacon, Dawna Wall moving on to a new ministry opportunity south of the border, the bishop and archdeacons felt it a good time to reconfigure the regions of our diocese, to better utilize the gifts and skills of those who offer their leadership in this way.
Effective March 1, 2022, we will have 4 regions instead of 5:
