For more than 110 years the Anglican Parish of St. John the Baptist has been a part of the downtown Duncan community. As we gather to worship & grow spiritually, we seek to serve & participate in the life of the community.

The Season of Creation

For Creation

God of unchangeable power,
when you fashioned the
world
the morning stars sang together and the host of
heaven shouted for joy;
open our eyes to the wonders
of creation
and teach us to see all things for good,
to
the honor of your glorious name;
through Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.

Our shared journey through time
&
season
has blessed us all
with precious moments to do
the best that we can
with & before all.
Humbly recognizing that
none of us are perfect
&
that we all have transgressed,
may we treat each moment
—and the people around us—
as precious.

May we go forward with an open hand, heart & mind,
remembering that we are "ambassadors of Christ
in all we say & do."

2 Cor. 5: 18-20

May we as
children of the Almighty One
&
children of God’s Creation
be a blessing to our world
&
to others before us.

National Indigenous Archbishop,
